We use one cookie to keep you signed in, and one to remember your language. That's it. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and there is no third-party tracker on this site.
Your preferences
Changes take effect immediately and are stored on this device only.
Strictly necessaryAlways on
Keeps you signed in, remembers your language choice, and protects forms against cross-site request forgery. The site cannot work without these, so they can't be switched off. They contain no tracking identifier.
PreferencesOptional
Remembers smaller choices — which cases you last viewed, whether you dismissed a notice, your chart display settings. Turning this off means the site forgets those between visits, but everything still works.
AnalyticsOptional
Counts page views so we know which guides people actually read. We use a privacy-focused analytics tool that sets no cookies, records no IP addresses, and builds no cross-site profile. It never receives a receipt number or account identifier. You can still turn it off.
Advertising and trackingNot used
We do not run advertising, we do not embed advertising pixels or social media trackers, and we do not sell or share data for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is nothing here to turn off.

What we use and why
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage. We use the smallest set we can.

What we don't use
- No advertising or retargeting cookies
- No social media pixels or share buttons that phone home
- No cross-site tracking or device fingerprinting
- No session recording or heatmap tools that capture what you type
- No data brokers, and no sale or sharing of any data for advertising
This matters more here than on most sites. A tracker on a page about your immigration case can leak the fact that you have one. We keep this page free of third parties for that reason.
Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or extension sends GPC, we automatically treat it as an opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information and disable optional analytics, without you needing to do anything on this page. Since we do not sell or share data in the first place, GPC changes little in practice — but we honor it as a legally valid request under California law.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and may prevent forms from working. Instructions: Chrome · Safari · Firefox · Edge.
Clearing your cookies also clears your choices on this page, and we will ask again on your next visit.
Changes
If we ever add a new cookie or a new third-party service, we will update this page, note it in our changelog, and — for anything beyond strictly necessary — ask for your consent before setting it. We will not quietly add trackers.
